Marwari College, Ranchi, established in 1963 by the Marwari Shiksha Trust, is one of the prominent institutions of higher education in Jharkhand. Founded through the dedicated efforts of Late Ganga Prasad Budhia, the college began with a modest number of students and has since grown into a leading centre for higher education, serving students from diverse social backgrounds.

The college was recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) in 1968 and became a constituent unit of Ranchi University in 1980. It was granted Autonomous Status by the UGC and received the prestigious Potential for Excellence award in 2010. Marwari College has also undergone multiple NAAC accreditation cycles and currently offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and job-oriented programmes, contributing significantly to academic excellence and career development.
